It also acknowledges the high standard of work being produced by the office, which includes the recently completed Ynysyfro Reservoir House and Newport Children's Centre. The team has also successfully secured Planning Permission for the £40m Coleg Cymunedol Y Dderwen (Oak Tree Community College) in Bridgend, potentially, the first BREEAM 'Outstanding' High School within the UK and part of the 'Gateway to the Valleys' initiative.
The AJ results highlight that the Scott Brownrigg Cardiff team "is very content", with one respondent commenting that the "workload is interesting and diverse" and that, crucially, the practice "looks after its staff’s interests".
The Cardiff office is also a member of the Low Carbon Research Institute, and is one of only four practices in Wales to partner Cardiff University in a combined three year research programme, which addresses sustainability and low carbon design.
